2026 review

Tanner Gordon walked hitters at a low rate but got hit hard, finishing a 6.68 ERA and 1.66 WHIP in 103.2 IP across 24 games and 12 starts for COL, an 18.0 K% and a 5.1 BB% over 473 BF. He was optioned Mar 17, recalled Apr 14, optioned May 12, recalled May 14, placed on the 15-day IL Jun 5 (retroactive to Jun 2) with a right hip impingement, took a rehab assignment Jun 24, and was activated Jun 30, missing 28 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 687, a rare pick taken in 5 of 674 drafts, he finished 1469th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 233rd of 236 pitchers at SP. His 44.8 Hard% over 362 BBE was the 5th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, while his 5.1 BB% over 473 BF was the 25th lowest of the same pool. His 6.68 ERA ran 1.52 above his 5.16 xERA over 473 BF, with 6.37 in 35.1 IP before his IL stint against 6.85 in 68.1 IP after, an Aug best of 3.82 ERA in 30.2 IP and a Sep worst of 15.60 ERA in 15.0 IP. By mid-May the TDK LABS card called it routine; by late Sep it saw better contact than the results showed.
