2026 review
Taylor Trammell profiled as a part-time outfielder who couldn't handle enough of the strike zone: a .192 AVG in 255 AB with a 32.2 K% and a 10.0 BB% over 289 PA, alongside 8 HR and 4 SB. HOU selected his contract Apr 10, and a left groin strain sent him to the 10-day IL Apr 21; he took a rehab assignment May 19 before being activated May 26, missing 35 regular-season days, and later served a stint on the paternity list from Sep 15 to Sep 17. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 569 as a rare pick, he finished 1034th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 43rd of 93 left fielders. The TDK LABS card followed him from a running progression right after the groin strain in early May, to a part-time role in early Jul where a recent power burst outpaced his underlying batted-ball read, to an established platoon role against left-handers by Sep 1, and by Sep 27 it had him in a cold stretch with his expected and actual numbers lining up, in a limited role near the bottom of the batting order.
