2026 review

Teoscar Hernández was a steady power bat who hit lefties much better than righties: .267/.334/.425 over 491 PA in 442 AB with 16 HR, 66 R and 64 RBI across 125 games for LAD, splitting .303/.392/.515 over 153 PA against left-handed pitchers versus .252/.308/.387 over 338 PA against right-handers. He went on the 10-day IL May 29 for a left hamstring strain, took a rehab assignment Jun 23 and was activated Jun 29, missing 31 regular-season days in that stint, with his average sliding a bit after, .276 over 181 AB before the stint against .261 over 261 AB after he returned. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 127, he finished 140th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 13 spots below, and 14th of 93 left fielders. His best month was Sep at .341 over 88 AB against just .182 over 77 AB in Jul. The TDK LABS card read the lineup as functioning as constructed with him in it back in early May, called his post-injury contact pale in late Jul while pointing to his low-strikeout durability, then by early Aug had him producing well with several multi-hit games and the power output picking back up, and by late Sep it had him heating up again with a consistent lineup presence.
