Tim Herrin worked 67 games out of the CLE bullpen, posting a 3.02 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 56.2 IP, with a 22.5 K% and an 11.7 BB% over 240 BF, striking out 54 against 28 walks with 5 HR allowed, good for 3 W, 4 L and 16 HLD. A left elbow contusion put him on the 15-day IL on Jul 9; he took a rehab assignment Jul 18 and Jul 21 before being activated Jul 24, missing 15 regular-season days. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 476th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 226th of 811 pitchers and 154th of 575 relief pitchers. His 3.02 ERA ran 0.87 below his 3.89 xERA over 240 BF. He carried a 3.06 ERA in 32.1 IP before the IL stint and a 2.96 ERA in 24.1 IP after he came back, with a 2.40 ERA in 15.0 IP in Aug his best month against a 5.91 ERA in 10.2 IP in May his worst. The TDK LABS card had him in mostly low-leverage work as one of the CLE lefties by early May, and by late Aug it read him as rested after a stretch of back-to-back outings, a ratio-friendly lefty with an occasional hold as his ceiling.
