2026 review
Travis d'Arnaud's season was defined by an 83-day trip to the injured list more than anything he did at the plate: in 32 games and 27 starts he went 12-for-76 with 3 2B and 1 HR, hitting .158 and a .237 SLG in 76 AB, with a .238 OBP, a 28.6 K% and a 7.1 BB% over 84 PA. He went on the 10-day IL May 8, retroactive to May 7, for right foot plantar fasciitis, was transferred to the 60-day IL Jun 3, took rehab assignments Jul 17 and Jul 28, and was activated from the 60-day IL Jul 29, missing 83 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1118, he finished 1379th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 590th of 660 hitters and 89th of 103 catchers. The TDK LABS card tracked the uncertainty around him all year: in early May, even with an opening from an injured teammate, it read him as having little chance of continuing to play; by late Jun it had him sidelined on the extended IL with not much of a role to come back to; and by late Sep it described him as a part-time catcher whose contact quality lagged and whose playing time drew doubt.
