Trevor Martin spent the season shuttling up and down for Tampa Bay and then LAA, a 4.11 ERA and 1.76 WHIP in 15.1 IP with a 12.3 K% and a 9.6 BB% over 73 BF across 8 games. He was optioned and recalled repeatedly by Tampa Bay on Apr 26, May 15, May 27, May 31, Jun 3, Jun 28 and Jul 5 before being designated for assignment Aug 13 and claimed off waivers by LAA, where the same option-and-recall pattern continued through Sep 24. The TDK LABS card never found him a role either: in mid-May it had him as a deep AL-only swing arm with no leverage, by late May it noted him sitting unused before an option, and by early Jun it still read no defined lane for him. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 842nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 534th of 811 pitchers, and 408th of 575 relievers.
