Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 117, he finished 113th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 4 spots above, and 9th of 575 relief pitchers. In early May the TDK LABS card was uneasy about him even as he kept pitching, but by mid-Aug it had him locking down games cleanly after a tidy ninth inning, and by late Aug it considered the closer role settled; by late Sep it still had the strikeout numbers and the closer role holding, alongside some recent runs allowed.
