2026 review

Turner Hill was a speed-first outfielder whose bat lagged his role: he hit .219/.306/.314 with a 16.9 K% and a 10.5 BB% over 124 PA for SFG across 34 games, 28 starts, adding 7 2B, 1 HR and 2 SB. His contract was selected Aug 13, and he played from Aug 15 through Sep 27, seeing 41 PA in Aug and 83 in Sep. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1174th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 58th of 93 left fielders. His .280 wOBA ran 36 points below his .316 xwOBA over 124 PA. The TDK LABS card traced his arrival and fade: in mid Aug it framed him as depth coverage filling a season-ending vacancy rather than an offensive piece, and by late Sep, with the bat gone cold, it pointed to the expected numbers running ahead of the results.
