2026 review

Tyler Callihan spent his season as a part-time corner bat who couldn't get the strikeouts under control: over 37 games and 25 starts he hit .211/.283/.389 with a 35.5 K% and an 8.4 BB% over 107 PA, adding 3 HR and 15 RBI in 95 AB. He was optioned out of camp Mar 21, recalled May 28, and optioned again Jul 29, with his playing time climbing from 5 PA over 3 games in May to 62 PA over 21 games in Jun before dropping to 40 PA over 16 games in Jul. Drafted at ADP rank 602 in just 2 of 674 drafts, he finished 1170th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 422nd of 660 hitters and 53rd of 79 right fielders. His .294 wOBA ran 42 points above his .252 xwOBA over 107 PA. The TDK LABS card pegged him early as bench-depth filler with no real fantasy pulse after his May 30 recall, then by Jul had narrowed him into a left-handed bat used only against right-handers, and by Jul 27 was still describing that strict platoon role but with cold contact.
