2026 review

Tyler Davis was a bullpen arm who bounced between Chicago and the minors all year: a 3.66 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 32.0 IP across 31 games for CHW, with a 21.1 K% and a 12.5 BB% over 128 BF, 1 SV against 1 BS. His contract was selected Apr 23, and from there he shuttled between the majors and the minors on Jun 21, Jul 9, Jul 13 and Aug 27, with a bereavement-list stint Sep 9 to Sep 15 before one more recall Sep 24. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 480th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 156th of 575 relief pitchers. The TDK LABS card's read on him shifted over the year: by Jul it had him as a handcuff to Dominguez with a brief save window, by late Aug it had him as bullpen depth with no clear save or hold role in the Chicago relief order, and by late Sep it still had him as a bullpen arm with shaky control and a thin strikeout profile.
