He was optioned Mar 19, recalled May 3, optioned May 6, then traded from ATH to CHC on May 7, and from there kept cycling between optioned and recalled through Jun and into Sep, with his last game Sep 1. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 636th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 362nd of 811 pitchers, and 268th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card tracked the churn: by late Jun it was calling the roster moves temporary with no lasting role, and by early Sep it had him back in Chicago's pen as a long-relief depth arm with low-leverage innings in a mostly linear bullpen.
