2026 review
Tyler O'Neill's season came in short bursts around 2 long injured-list stints: over 85 games for BAL he hit .212/.300/.377 in 231 AB, with 10 HR and 31 R, a 27.7 K% and a 10.4 BB% over 260 PA. A concussion sent him to the 7-day IL on Apr 12, retroactive to Apr 9, and he was activated Apr 24; a right shoulder inflammation put him on the 10-day IL on Aug 26, retroactive to Aug 23, and he was transferred to the 60-day IL on Sep 19, missing 50 regular-season days in 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 375, he finished 930th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 555 spots below, and 36th of 79 right fielders. He hit lefties better than righties, .223/.293/.482 over 123 PA against left-handed pitchers and .202/.307/.277 over 137 PA against right-handers. The TDK LABS card had him back from the IL with the outfield role intact in early May, riding a stretch of hot contact and back-to-back homers by mid-Jul while noting the role stayed platoon-dependent, and by late Sep had him on the 60-day IL recovering from the shoulder injury.
