2026 review

Victor Mesa Jr. was a power-and-speed outfielder who hit .260/.327/.498 with a 20.2 K% and an 8.8 BB% over 262 PA across 79 games for TBR, adding 14 HR, 9 SB and 34 RBI. TBR optioned him Mar 11 and recalled him May 24, and a left hamstring strain sent him to the 10-day IL Aug 19; he took a rehab assignment Aug 26 and was activated Sep 1 after missing 13 regular-season days. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 331st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 25th of 79 right fielders. His .355 wOBA ran 26 points above his .329 xwOBA over 262 PA. The TDK LABS card saw a jammed outfield behind him right after his late-May recall despite an immediate hit, but by mid-Sep, back from the injury, it had him running hot with back-to-back multi-hit games and a low-strikeout profile trending into late-season consistency, and by Sep 27 it called him a breakout bat with speed and power.
