Victor VodnikCOL · MIA · RP
2026 review
Victor Vodnik was a reliever whose contact quality lagged his results in both directions: he went 4.91 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP in 58.2 IP over 53 games between COL and MIA, with a 16.5 K% and a 12.4 BB% over 266 BF, and his 24.0 CSW% over 1028 pitches was the 50th lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. Right ulnar nerve inflammation put him on the 15-day IL May 20 before he was activated Jun 15, 26 regular-season days missed, and he was sharply better after it, a 3.54 ERA in 40.2 IP after activation against an 8.00 ERA in 18.0 IP before the stint. He moved from Colorado to Miami, his best month a 2.53 ERA in 10.2 IP in Jul against a 6.94 ERA in 11.2 IP in Apr, and his 4.91 ERA ran 0.79 above his 4.12 xERA over 266 BF. The TDK LABS card called him a real arm stuck outside the save picture, first in a chaotic Rockies bullpen and then, after the trade to Miami, a middle-relief piece the card by late Sep saw as pitching a little better than the ERA showed. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 354, he finished 1059th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 705 spots below, and 525th of 575 relief pitchers.
