2026 review

Wade Meckler put together a solid table-setting year for LAA, but the underlying power never showed up. He hit .300/.373/.387 with a 18.7 K% and a 9.5 BB% over 337 PA, adding 15 2B, 3 HR and 8 SB across 98 games and 81 starts. His 2.9 Barrel% over 239 BBE was the 26th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. LAA claimed him off waivers on Jan 7, designated him for assignment on Jan 28, outrighted him Feb 2, then selected his contract May 22. He was placed on the 7-day IL Aug 22, retroactive to Aug 21, for a concussion, took a rehab assignment Aug 26, and was activated Aug 28, missing 7 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 638, he finished 374th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 25th of 93 left fielders. His .341 wOBA ran 27 points above his .314 xwOBA over 337 PA. The TDK LABS card had him as a debut splash with the bat and glove in late May, and by late Sep it had him back from the concussion with his contact finding groove again, batting third as an everyday hitter.
