Wilber DotelPIT · RP
2026 review
Wilber Dotel was a multi-inning reliever who kept getting optioned and recalled: across 22 games and 2 starts he posted a 4.46 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in 42.1 IP, with a 22.5 K% and an 8.8 BB% over 182 BF. He was optioned and recalled repeatedly through the season, took a rehab assignment after a right lat muscle strain sent him to the 15-day IL Jun 13, and finished the year with a heavy Sep workload, 13.2 IP over 7 games. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 847th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 412th of 575 relievers. His 4.46 ERA ran 0.65 above his 3.81 xERA over 182 BF. The TDK LABS card followed the shuffling: by early May it read an option as workload-driven rather than performance-based, by late Jun it had him on the IL with the lat strain, and by early Aug it flagged him as a middle reliever in a fluid bullpen with no save path, still a multi-inning arm in the pen by late Sep.
