2026 review

Willy Adames played shortstop every day for SFG until an elbow issue ended his year early, hitting .230/.289/.424 with a 27.5 K% and a 7.3 BB% over 505 PA, adding 25 2B, 21 HR, 62 R and 51 RBI. A left elbow sprain put him on the 10-day IL on Aug 24, and with no activation on record through Sep 27 he missed 34 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 124, he finished 229th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 105 spots below, and 18th of 61 shortstops. His .311 wOBA ran 15 points above his .296 xwOBA over 505 PA, and his best month was May at .292 in 113 AB against .176 in 102 AB in Apr. The TDK LABS card tracked the swings: by early May it had him fading from an early hot stretch, by late Jul it described soft recent contact, by early Aug it had him in a quiet stretch with little power, and by late Sep it had him on the injured list rehabbing the elbow.
