2026 review
Wyatt Langford put together a season shaped by trips to the injured list in 2 stints: he hit .241/.335/.423 over 471 PA for TEX with 17 HR, 64 R, 44 RBI and 15 SB across 110 games and 109 starts. He ran a 22.7 K% and an 11.7 BB% over 471 PA. A right forearm strain put him on the 10-day IL Apr 22; he took rehab assignments May 30 and Jun 2 before activation Jun 5, then a left hamstring strain sent him back down Jun 28 with activation Jul 9, missing 55 regular-season days in all. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 43, he finished 187th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 144 spots below, and 19th of 93 left fielders. His .333 wOBA ran 14 points above his .319 xwOBA over 471 PA. He hit about the same before and after his longest injured-list stint, .237 over 80 AB before it and .242 over 331 AB after, and his best month was Jun at .317 over 82 AB against .189 over 95 AB in Aug. In early May the TDK LABS card flagged a potential setback in his forearm recovery, pushing back an expected return; by late Jul it had him swinging a hot bat, and by late Sep it described a recent cold stretch sitting below his season form while still reading his contact quality and run production favorably.
