2026 review

Yoán Moncada was a third baseman whose season was cut short: .189/.308/.297 with a 34.6 K% and a 13.1 BB% over 130 PA for LAA, with 3 HR over 41 games. He was placed on the 10-day IL on May 22 with right knee inflammation, transferred to the 60-day IL on Jun 8, and missed 128 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Undrafted at NFBC ADP rank 1059, he finished 1253rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 194 spots below, and 50th of 67 third basemen. His .281 wOBA ran 12 points above his .269 xwOBA over 130 PA. The TDK LABS card described a shrinking role even before the injury, noting in mid-May that he was platooning with a quiet contact-quality profile, and by mid-Jul and again in late Aug it kept him on the 60-day list with no timetable given for a return.
