2026 review

Zach Dezenzo scuffled to make contact all year: he hit .213/.280/.307 over 82 PA for HOU, managing just 1 HR and 3 RBI across 35 games. A 37.8 K% and an 8.5 BB% over 82 PA underscored the swing-and-miss season. A right elbow sprain put him on the 10-day IL on Mar 25, and rehab assignments in April preceded his May 4 activation; the stint cost him 40 regular-season days. From there he shuttled between HOU and the minors, optioned the same day he was activated, recalled May 5, optioned Jun 5, recalled Jul 4 and optioned again Aug 6, playing his last game Aug 3. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 984, he finished 1277th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 500th of 660 hitters, and 69th of 93 left fielders. The TDK LABS card tracked the same struggle: back from the elbow IL in early Jul with minimal contact data, by early Aug it had his contact and power gone silent, and by Aug 4 it described an extended slump with zero recent power contact.
