Zack GelofATH · 2B/3B/OF

2026 review

Zack Gelof was a power-forward third baseman whose season came in bursts, hitting .256/.322/.475 with a 24.6 K% and a 7.1 BB% over 435 PA for ATH, with 22 HR, 16 SB and 55 RBI over 111 games and 104 starts. Optioned Mar 19 and recalled Apr 10, he lost time to a right hand contusion that put him on the 10-day IL Jun 24, activated Jul 4, then a right knee laceration that sent him back Jul 10. He took a rehab assignment Aug 4 and was activated Aug 10, missing 41 regular-season days across 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1150, he finished 97th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 1053 spots above his ADP rank, and 10th of 67 third basemen. His .346 wOBA ran 23 points above his .323 xwOBA over 435 PA. He hit .329 over 70 AB in Jun and just .189 over 74 AB in Aug, and his average fell from .273 over 227 AB before the knee stint to .234 over 167 AB after. The TDK LABS card called him a breakout hitter in early May, took over third base by mid-May, read him as power-tooled and hot after injury by Aug, and by late Sep called the season a breakout built on power and steals.
