Zack KellyBOS · RP

2026 review

Zack Kelly was a middle reliever whose season ended early with injury, posting a 3.31 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 16.1 IP, a 19.7 K% and a 9.9 BB% over 71 BF for BOS across 17 games. He shuttled between the majors and the minors on Mar 23, Apr 3 and May 22, then was recalled Jul 21 and placed on the 60-day IL that same day with right elbow inflammation, missing 68 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. He worked 10.1 IP over 10 games in Apr and 6.0 IP over 7 games in May before the elbow ended his year. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 622nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 350th of 811 pitchers and 258th of 575 relievers. By May 8 the TDK LABS card had flagged a command pattern, walk-heavy outings stacking up as earlier reads on his stuff tempered into a need for strikes, and by Aug 3 it had him on the 60-day IL with the season likely over.
